Question: When was the Websites for Restaurants website creation service established?

Answer: Websites for Restaurants is part of the Simplicity Websites and Bed and Breakfasts UK group of websites which has been promoting hotels, guest houses and B&Bs since 2000. The Websites for Restaurants website creation tool was developed in 2010 in order to extend our range of services into the restaurant industry.

Question: How can you offer a free website design and creation service?

Answer: By providing you with a choice of pre-designed website templates for the creation of your site we save on development time and pass the savings on to you, allowing you to build a website extremely easily, quickly and at a price that other web design companies find hard to match. If you use our free service your website will include adverts from which we raise our revenue.

Getting Started with Building My Website

Question: Do I need to find a web hosting company to host my website online?

Answer: No leave that to us, hosting your website with a top provider is included as part of your subscription. Your web hosting is free and is set-up automatically for you.

Question: I don't run a restaurant, bistros, brasserie, gastro pub, diner or other eating establishment. Can I use Websites for Restaurants to build a different type of website?

Answer: No. Our templates are not suited to the requirements of a non-restaurant website, we therefore do not accept non-restaurnt websites. We do however offer a separate website creation service for B&B’s and other accommodation providers, called Simplicity Websites.

Question: Can I use my own site design instead of one of your website templates?

Answer: Sorry, no. The website templates are specially configured for use with our service.

Question: Will I require an Internet connection and an email address to use your website creation service?

Answer: Yes, you will require both of these.

Question: Do I need to register an Internet domain name myself?

Answer: No. As a subscriber to the upgrade option you will be entitled to a free .co.uk domain name registration. We will help you to select a suitable domain name and register and configure the domain for you.

Alternatively, if you remain a free user and would like to have your own domain you may register the domain yourself and configure it to redirect to your website, at www.websitesforrestaurants.co.uk/[yoursitename]

Question: Will you build a website for me?

Answer: It's easy to build a website yourself using our content management system, however you may ask us to build your website for you as we offer a competitively priced Website Building Service.

Features Included as Part of the Service

Question: Will I be able to track visitors to my website?

Answer: Yes, upgrade subscribers receive visitor and referral stats through the Google Analytics service.

Subscription and Payments

Question: How much notice do I need to give if I wish to terminate my upgrade subscription?

Answer: There is no need to give notice. If you do not renew at the end of your subscription period your website will automatically revert to the free, ad supported, service. The minimum subscription renewal period is one year.

To permanently delete your website and your account log-in and use the Delete Account facility on your Account Details page.

Adding and Updating Site Content

Question: How much will I be charged to update my website?

Answer: Nothing! Updates to your website are free and unlimited using our Content Management Tool. Simply log-in and instantly update your website online, as often as you want. You can even change to a different website template to change the look of your site at the click of a button.

Question: How long will it take for my site updates to appear online?

Answer: Updates to your website will appear immediately online once you save them.

Question: Tell me more about your online table reservation facility?

Answer: We are currently working on adding an online table reservation service. This will enable your customers to reserve a table directly online, without interacting directly with you.

This upgrade service will include a table management system so that you can manage all your table reservations from all sources including telephone bookings and walk-ins. This will be done on your own Internet connected computer.

Question: Will my website appear in search engine listings?

Answer: Yes. We work very hard to make our pages achieve high rankings in search engines such a Google, Yahoo and MSN. As your website's address will share the websitesforrestaurants.co.uk domain, you will benefit from this. We also provide subscribers with advice on how to optimise their website's content to perform well in search engines.

Question: I have a restaurant in France, can I build a website with Websites for Restaurants?

Answer: Yes, although we are UK based you can create a website for a restaurant anywhere in the world. Please note that our templates are English only do not support other languages. Our technical support is also in English only.
